
Dr. Mai-Phuong Nguyen (Practice Principal)
B.Pharm, MBBS, FRACGP, DCHDr Mai Nguyen is an Australian trained GP who attained her medical degree at University of Queensland, St Lucia in 2010. Prior to becoming a doctor, she worked as a community pharmacist in various locations across Brisbane.
She has gained experience working in many Queensland Hospitals including Ipswich General Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital (including as a Principal House Officer in Paediatrics). In 2014, she moved to rural New South Wales and worked as a rural GP while covering the local Emergency Department and caring for hospital inpatients as a V.M.O. During this time, she completed the post-graduate Children's Hospital network program through Westmead Hospital (formerly Diploma of Child Health). Towards the end of 2018, she returned to Queensland and worked at Priority Health Medical Centre in Springfield prior to establishing Richlands General Practice.
Her special interest areas include Women's Health, paediatrics and chronic diseases. Dr Mai Nguyen has completed the "Mater Shared Care Alignment Program" so is able to provide antenatal care in conjunction with Mater Mother's Hospital. She has special interests in managing women with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (excessive nausea and vomiting in pregnancy). She performs various procedures including Mirena/Implanon insertions and Wedge Toenail Resections amongst others.
Dr Mai Nguyen is passionate about providing comprehensive care to the community and prides herself on being friendly and approachable. She is bilingual in English and Vietnamese.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, gardening and camping/fishing trips.
Her appointments are 15mins per standard appointment and 30mins for long appointments. All new patients are booked for 30mins.

Dr. Tran Le
BAppSc (MedSc), MBBS, DCH, FRACGP, HBV s100 PrescriberDr Tran Le achieved a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Science) in 2007 followed by a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in Queensland in 2010. She underwent 5 years of hospital based training in various specialties prior to entering her specialty of choice, general practice. In 2018 she was awarded Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Tran Le also holds a Diploma in Child Health, a Professional Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery, a National Certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health and a Professional Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine. She enjoys all aspects of medicine including Adult/Geriatric general medicine, shared Antenatal/Pregnancy care and Women’s Health (including insertion & removal of Mirena IUD and Implanon contraceptive devices). Dr Le is also accredited to treat patients with chronic viral hepatitis (such as Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C).
Dr Le joined the team at Richlands General Practice in August 2023. She is bilingual (Vietnamese and English) and grew up in the local area.
She is passionate about medical education and has been involved with training of junior doctors. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. Dr Le bulk-bills patients with valid Medicare cards if they are aged 16 years and under, or hold a valid pensioner or concession card. Dr. Alena Bulbrook
MD, FRACGPDr. Alena Bulbrook, MD, FRACGP, is an experienced GP with extensive experience in paediatrics, family medicine, and mental health, having worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Redland Hospital.
Dr.Bulbrook also has a strong background in occupational medicine, with experience at Medibank, Sonic Health, and Injurynet. She holds a certificate in primary care skin cancer medicine and, in 2018, worked six months at the Ipswich General Hospital Mental Health Unit.
Outside of work, Dr. Bulbrook enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and appreciates the outdoors. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. Her areas of special interest include paediatrics, family medicine, mental health, occupational medicine, skin conditions, and general medicine.

Dr. Irene Azavedo Fernandes
MBBS, FRACGPDr Irene Azavedo Fernandes was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She grew up in Goa, India and completed her MBBS through the Bombay University. She practiced in Goa in paediatrics, radiology and general practice. She obtained the FRACGP in Queensland and worked in rural Queensland for 20 years. The following are her areas of interest:

Dr. Thang Duc Truong
MB,BS (QLD)Dr Thang Truong is a male GP who studied medicine and graduated from the University of Queensland in 1995. He has been working in General Practice since 1999 and is an experienced, compassionate and thorough clinician. Dr Thang is bilingual in Vietnamese and English.
